Vinh and Lida Engaged!

A week and a half ago I had the privilege of doing an engagement session with my friends Vinh and Lida. I was glad to catch them in So-Cal during the holidays before they returned to Louisiana. We had a fun afternoon and I am looking forward to shooting their wedding next summer!

Here are some of my favorites from the day. I think the photos speak for themselves in how well these two go together and how happy they are. Enjoy!



When we first got there, Vinh knelt down and I thought he wanted to do some "proposal" poses, so I started shooting away...haha but he was just tying his shoe. Thought it was funny though - isn't it the girl that's supposed to get faked out by that? :)

Laux Family

Here are my favorites from the Laux Family shoot. We had a great time and they were a lot of fun to work with!


On a side note, Bryn - the oldest in the family - was injured badly in a car accident two years ago. She was told she would never walk again. I know that it was a tough time for the family and it is so awesome to see her today taking pictures like this!

Curtis Family

Capture one released the updated software I needed for my 5d Mark II RAW files yesterday so I was finally able to continue working on my recent sessions. Here are some of my favorites from the Curtis Family taken in Santa Cruz two weekends ago. Enjoy!
